Kenya Golf Fundraiser

The Kenya Gold Fundraiser was a project initiated by an ambitious intern from UNR who later served as an IDM board member. IDM held an annual fundraiser golf tournament from 2012-2019, when COVID disrupted the annual event.

IDM thanks Somersett for eight years of support and offering the Canyon 9 Executive Golf Course for the IDM event

Golf entry fee included 9 holes of golf, lunch, and great raffle prizes!

African Dinner

IDM’s longest standing fundraiser has been the African Dinner, where community members come together to learn about and support international projects while enjoying African cuisine. For years IDM partnered with UNR’s Student Association of International Water Issues (SAIWI) to host the dinner, and money raised went to support projects for both IDM and SAIWI. After the passing of one of IDM’s founding members, Ron Peterson, IDM honored Ron and his efforts by hosting the 2017 Ron Peterson Memorial African Dinner.

After several years of not hosting a fundraiser dinner, in 2026, IDM is bringing the event back! Attendees can look forward to delicious African food, good company, and learning about and helping to support IDM projects.
